About the Editors

The Commissioning Editor

Roger Bullock, Fellow at the Centre for Social Policy at Dartington, has been Commissioning Editor of Adoption & Fostering since 2003, the same year that the journal was launched online. With well over 100 publications to his name, including more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals, Roger is widely respected as an expert on residential child care and many aspects of family support and child protection.

Famous for his original and stimulating editorials, he has a longstanding interest in innovative methods of dissemination and connecting findings to policy and practice, making him the perfect match for a multi-disciplinary journal that appeals to practitioners and researchers alike.

Roger's work at the Dartington Social Research Unit is celebrated in a Festschrift (tribute volume) titled Forty years of research, policy and practice in children's services (Wiley, 2005).
