Senior Social Worker (Adoption Support Team)
An interesting opportunity has arisen for a senior social worker to work in the Adoption Support Team.
The Adoption Support Team provides high quality support to anyone affected by adoption (adopted children and their families, adopted adults and birth family members).
The team is committed to providing the best opportunities and outcomes for adopted children. Over several years we have continued to develop and strengthen the service provided to adoptive families to ensure that they are equipped and have the necessary skills to parent their adopted children.
As a senior social worker in the Adoption Support Team you will be responsible for undertaking adoption support assessments and helping to put in place support packages to meet the short and long term needs of the adopted child and the adoptive family. You will hold a complex caseload given that all adopted children will have experienced trauma and separation and loss.
There will also be opportunities to work with adopted adults who wish to access their adoption records or who may wish to consider renewed contact with members of their birth family.
The team is a highly committed and supportive team who strive to ensure that high quality services are provided.
You will need to be a qualified, HCPC registered social worker with significant and relevant post qualification experience.
Ealing Council is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Ealing follows safer recruitment practices to protect children and vulnerable adults. Social Workers will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and Ealing's enhanced vetting process.
