Supervising Social Workers & Family Finding Social Workers needed for Adoption and Fostering Services
The Fostering Team provides placements for children who cannot live with their birth families. The core tasks are to recruit, assess and approve foster carers and to supervise and support them to enable carers to provide high quality care for our children.
The Adoption and Permanence Team is responsible for the recruitment, training and assessment of prospective adopters, family finding for Sutton children who have a plan for adoption and for the assessment and provision of adoption support needs and services for those affected by adoption. The Team also assesses and provides support for Special Guardians. Following a recent Ofsted inspection, the adoption judgement has been classed as Good. It is an excellent opening for those with a genuine interest in developing their skills and knowledge of family placement work. As a Supervising Social Worker you will be responsible for the supervision, management and retention of foster carers. This includes promoting the professional service for foster carers with the aim of achieving improved outcomes for CLA in line with the National Minimum Standards & Guidance.
