Connected Persons and Special Guardianship Orders

This open course will be an opportunity to explore personal and professional values and thresholds in respect of assessing connected persons, including tools to assist in assessing the child’s and the Connected Persons’ continued relationship with the birth parents and any possible risks posed to the child and carer and how these can be managed.  It will also include looking at good practice in special guardianship orders as a permanency option and identify current dilemmas in the assessment of family and connected persons and the importance of identifying strengths and risks, including those related to safeguarding.

On open courses we can accommodate a maximum of four delegates from one organisation only. For a larger group booking, please see the information on commissioned training.
