The children placed with you will have different needs, and it’s important that you find the right support so you can care for them as well as for yourself. A wide range of support is available for you, your family and the foster children in your care.
As a foster carer, you are part of the team who looks after the child’s well being. Your fostering service will provide the support, supervision and training you need.
For further information and advice about fostering you can contact the following organisations:
- The Fostering Network, the UK’s leading fostering charity
- Fosterline, a free helpline and website funded by the Department for Education offering advice, information and support on all issues related to fostering
- Foster Talk, an independent, non-profit organisation providing professional support services to foster carers across the UK
