Coram is a voluntary adoption agency commissioned by the London Borough of Harrow on behalf of a number of partner local authorities to deliver regional adoption agency [RAA] services. The RAA covers all the key functions of adoption services based on a 'hub and spoke' delivery model, where the key activities of recruitment and assessment take place at Coram in central London, with family finding and adoption support services taking place in each local authority setting.
About the Role:
This is a new and exciting opportunity to manage a small team for the Bi-Borough, one of the partner RAA local authorities (Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea), overseeing family finding and post adoption support services. The Adoption Team Manager and the senior practitioners will be located at Westminster City Council operating across the Bi-Borough and within the wider RAA.
Purpose of the Role:
- To hold responsibility for the delivery of effective and safe services for children in adoption in line with the relevant legislation, regulation, policy, research and good practice frameworks.
- To participate actively in the vision and mission of the regional adoption agency and the provision of services for the relevant participant authorities consistent with performance and quality indicators and outcomes for the service.
- To manage effectively within the budget framework for delivering the service, enabling best value and monitoring spend, achieving relevant economies of scale and other opportunities for service efficiency.
