National adoption practice across the sector has developed in line the Government’s strategy to regionalise adoption services. Aimed at securing better and timely outcomes for children needing adoption and improving the range of support services the Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) Leaders Group is now seeking to appoint a Business Support Officer.
The Business Support Officer will be accountable to the National Adoption Strategic Lead, who will work collaboratively with a Project Manager and the RAA leaders and other key stakeholders across the sector in driving up performance and standards of practice so that a cohesive national adoption service is available to all children and families affected by adoption.
The position is available for an initial 1-year period and consideration can also be given to an applicant who might be interested in the position on a secondment basis, providing they have the agreement from their employer.
The post-holder can be located anywhere in the UK as it is envisaged that the majority of work will be through virtual working arrangements, although attendance and presentations at key events will also be required so some travelling will be required.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can provide efficient and organised business support.
The post holder will have good communication/organisational skills and the ability to service meetings. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
You must be able to work as part of a team and be flexible with energy and commitment. Knowledge of public sector services including services to children and families children will be important.
