CoramBAAF are running a series of discussion sessions specifically for our Health Special Interest Group members. Each one will focus on an emerging practice topic where CoramBAAF would like to engage with members.
Quality of health assessments for children in care

In the second session of this new series, the quality of health assessments for children is on the agenda and particularly for those living away from their home area. CoramBAAF is aware that this has become an area of particular concern and invite members to come along and discuss the following points:
- Can you feedback to colleagues about any audits you have undertaken?
- Has your team identified solutions?
- Would you like to suggest solutions that could be put in place?
We will start with a short presentation from CoramBAAF identifying themes, then join breakout rooms for discussion.
Vaping and CBD products
22 November 2023, 1.00–2.30pm
In this first session the CoramBAAF team presented a roundup of current information on the topic. Members then debated the key practice points in breakout sessions and gave them the opportunity to discuss what advice medical advisers are giving in relation to carers using these products. We also looked at what the key public health messages are for children and young people.
