CoramBAAF Kinship Care Conference 2025: Developing a kinship local offer - What can we learn?

We are delighted to announce Jahnine Davies, Kinship Ambassador, will be speaking at the Kinship Conference taking place on 13 October 2025 at QE2 Conference Centre, Coram Campus in London.

With the new statutory guidance for local authorities requiring publication of a kinship local offer,  join us for a day of contemporary insights from researchers, sector organisations, carers, young people, parents and practitioners to network, discuss and explore how local authorities can shape and develop a good kinship local offer.

The day will create a supportive and collaborative learning experience to empower social work practitioners. Attendees will leave with knowledge, practical tools, and new connections to confidently take the next steps in producing their local offer.

PROGRAMME

Morning session - Presentations and panel discussion

The morning will provide legal, research and lived experience perspectives on what needs to be included in a local offer. You will hear from a diverse panel focussing on maintaining relationships and the implications for the local offer.

Workshops

You will have the opportunity to join workshops that will provide practical takeaways to support your local offer development work, including community development, implementation of the kinship practice guide and assessment practice. These smaller group sessions will allow for more focused discussions, hands-on learning, and the development of actionable tools for professional practice.

Keynote and networking

We will close the day with a keynote speech from Jahnine Davies, National Kinship Ambassador.
