Childrens Adoption Team Social Workers

Our Team
The Team is a County wide team responsible for the progression of children’s; plans for adoption. We are a friendly and supportive team, and we have a strong emphasis on training and service development.

The Role
The team works with children with a plan of adoption countywide. You will work closely with the Children’s care planning teams and also with the Adoption teams to ensure children with a plan of adoption can live in their permanent family at the earliest opportunity.

We are looking for a highly capable practitioner who can meet deadlines and has good assessment skills and skills in working directly with children , using active listening and observation to build relationships. As a key member of the team, you will also share skills and in-depth knowledge with other professionals and stakeholders, supporting and delivering the best outcomes.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years post qualifying experience with a strong knowledge of Adoption work. You will work as part of a team which together covers the whole of Cumbria.
