About the role

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join Coram Voice as our new Children’s Rights Manager in the West Midland. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team of advocates and to deliver direct, ongoing advocacy and independent visitor services to children and young people across a range of settings.


Leadership and team management:
• Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of advocates to ensure high-quality service delivery that aligns with the relevant standards and codes of practice.
• Support the development and implementation of training programs to ensure the team remains knowledgeable about children’s rights, relevant legislation, and best practice standards.
• Supervise, develop, and manage team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
• Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and ensure staff compliance with organisational policies and standards.
Direct advocacy and service delivery and development
• Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people as needed, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are championed across all settings, including secure children’s homes.
• Oversee the delivery of commissioned services, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and organisational goals.
• Develop and implement innovative service approaches to address the changing needs of children and young people.
Purpose of the role:

Main duties and responsibilities:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Children’s Rights Manager to oversee and enhance our advocacy across Sandwell, Walsall & Wolverhampton (Black Country). You will champion children’s rights, ensuring that our service meet national standards and deliver the best outcomes for children in care or facing challenges.
