Interview’s will be informal, though you will need to demonstrate you have the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to complete analytic, evidence-based reports. You will also need to provide references and further personal information in line with Safer Recruitment policy.
Action for Children take a blended approach to fostering assessments, with assessment sessions taking place virtually and in person (there would be a minimum requirement of 3 home visits in person).
You will be supported by an assessment manager throughout the process and Stage 1 checks are undertaken by admin support, apart from referee interviews. Fostering applicants are also provided with a workbook which supports evidence gathering for the assessor.
The timescale for completion and presentation to panel is six months, which includes a one-month QA process.
