The Role:
This role is with Adopt South, the partnership Regional Adoption Agency for Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton local authorities, with the lead authority Hampshire County Council as the employer. A secondment opportunity would be considered.

Are you a qualified Educational Psychologist with the skills and experience to play a leading role within our innovative Adoption Support multi-disciplinary team?

Adopt South, have recently been awarded a Department of Education two-year investment, to fund the exploration, creation and development of a multi-agency model of support, for families and their children.

The role will encompass in-person and online consultations to families and children impacted by behaviour, trauma and/or attachment, as well as knowledge building and learning for families and groups.

With our local authority partners including CAHMS and Virtual Schools, as well as our research partnership with the University of Southampton, your experience of accessing educational, social care or health services, will provide a holistic approach for families and young people where there are daily challenges at school and homelife.

This is an exciting new opportunity, so we are looking for someone who has the enthusiasm and motivation to support us with our growth and transformational practice as a team, as well as sharing our values for all children to reach their full potential.

Please note; This role is fully based within the Adopt South team. Professional supervision will be provided through Hampshire’s HIEP service and will not be fulfilling statutory HIEP duties which remains the responsibility of the Local Authority.
