
As a professional and engaged Chair of meetings you will facilitate a diverse and committed Fostering panel.
Keeping the experience of the Child at the Centre of your discussions you will lead the independent scrutiny of fostering assessments and reviews.
You will contribute to the Fostering Service safely recruiting Foster Carers that will be able to provide Safe and Stable Homes.
You will ensure the agencies review recommendations are robustly considered.
An able communicator you will support the development of the Fostering Service through strong links to the Registered Manager and the Agency Decision Maker. You will contribute to reviewing panel’s performance including APR’s for panel members.
With a strong understanding of the fostering environment, you will provide leadership to panel in order to ensure it fulfils it's remit.
Well prepared, able to provide focus, and manage time you will create a safe space to consider complex issues and record clear decision making in the presence of all key stakeholders.
You will be committed to continuous development and learning and be able to promote best practice. We support an annual panel development day and there are workshops arranged with our other panel chairs and advisors to support and promote best practice.
You will be a significant contributor to the annual panel review.
You will be supported by our Panel administrator.
Additional information:
Panels are held predominantly online though where appropriate face to face panels may be held.
Expenses are available for travel etc. where incurred.
