Call for practice examples: Showcase your work at our 2025 Kinship Care Conference – “Pitching Good Practice” expressions of interest now open!

  • Date:

CoramBAAF is delighted to announce that this year’s Kinship Care Conference will be held in London on Monday 13 October 2025, 9.30am – 4.30pm. At the conference we will give local authorities the opportunity to share examples of innovative, interesting and effective kinship practice. We encourage you to share the projects and practices that you feel proud of and think other local authorities would be interested to learn about.

We are inviting professionals to submit their examples of kinship practice for our new ‘Pitching Good Practice’ spots taking place at this year’s conference. We will ask you to present your examples of practice in a side room at break and lunch times, giving our conference delegates the chance to network with you and ask questions about what you offer. You could display a conference poster, or demonstrate the use of tools or resources - we are open to your suggestions. See further information about presentation options in the form below.

Your practice examples could focus on anything kinship related.  This could include resources or tools used during assessments, post-order support pathways, support available to minoritised families, or newsletters and social events….to name just a few! It is an exciting opportunity for local authorities to showcase some of the promising practices so many of our members work hard to achieve.

In exchange for your time and commitment, you will be given 50% off two conference tickets. Our Kinship Consultants Ann Horne  and Clare Seth will shortlist the expressions of interest, to ensure there is a diversity of geographical location and type of local authority represented as well as a broad range of practice examples.

All you need to do is complete a quick form before Friday 11 July. You will need to outline who you are, your local authority, how your team/service is structured, the practice example you would like to share, and its impact. There are currently five ‘Pitching Good Practice’ spots available. We look forward to hearing from you!
