Caring for looked after children can be an immensely stressful and complex task and foster carers need opportunities to process their experiences and reflect on their thoughts and feelings. This training programme provides practical advice and training for foster carers in order to develop their skills in managing difficult and challenging child behaviour and forming positive relationships with their foster children.

Journal Production Editor - Maternity leave cover The Journal Production Editor is responsible for production of CoramBAAF’s quarterly journal, Adoption & Fostering, which is aimed at professionals and academics. The postholder will work part-time, in close association with the Journal Editor in Chief. Maternity leave cover is required for this post for around one year. Adoption & Fostering is the only quarterly peer-reviewed journal dedicated to family placement issues. Over the years, it has gained an international reputation as one of the world’s leading sources of knowledge for a wide range of professionals: academics and practitioners in social work, psychology, law, medicine, education, training and caring for children and young people. The postholder will ensure the quality of journal content by effectively liaising with the Editor in Chief to agree copy for publication, including submissions and regular features. CoramBAAF £17,500 per annum (£35,000 FTE) Coram Campus, London with flexibility for hybrid and remote working 17.5 hours per week (2.5 days per week)
