Fostering Panel Chair The role of Panel Chair is crucial to our success in improving outcomes for our Children in Care. The postholder will need to have experience and confidence in effectively chairing complex meetings with a range of stakeholders, underpinned by a sound understanding of Fostering Panel processes and the legislative landscape within which the panel operates, including Safeguarding procedures.  BCP Council £500 per panel; this includes reading and preparation time and covers the costs of the Panel Chair’s Annual Report. Panels are currently held virtually, but there is consideration to develop a hybrid model to include some face to face panels. 9.00 – 13.00 - This does not include reading and preparation time.

This open course aims to give new and recently appointed fostering and adoption panel members an opportunity to develop their role as effective panel members and to consider the tasks and responsibilities involved. This will be within the context of the current legislative framework and emerging messages from research.
