This conference is set to become a key event in the calendar of social work practitioners working in Local Authorities with foster families. It is a conference that brings together practice and ideas that are current, relevant to you, and which matter.
 
This is our second fostering conference and the chosen theme of Anti-Racist practice as a safeguarding priority is in direct response to the experiences of children in care, foster carers and the workforce.

The conference will examine and explore three elements:

• Children’s experiences and the impact of racism.
• Foster carers as the caretakers of identity, race and cultural heritage.
• How social work practitioners role is crucial as the agents of change.

Attendees will hear first-hand lived experiences, from experts and researchers in the sector, promising practice solutions that are working and you will leave feeling reinvigorated as part of a community ‘We Are the Solution – Anti-Racist Practice as a safeguarding priority’. Join us for an engaging event designed to inform and connect local authority professionals from across the country.
