The Department for Education has gone out to consultation to seek views on a “more responsive, holistic and evidence-based system of adoption support, including changes to the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund.” Adoption Support that Works for All

The consultation also sets out 8 options to reform adoption and eligible kinship support, including the future operation of the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund.

The Department for Education is responsible for children’s services and education, including early years, schools, higher and further education policy, apprenticeships and wider skills in England. It is also responsible for supporting professionals who work with children, young people, and adult learners; helping disadvantaged children and young people to achieve more and making sure that local services protect and support children. We are delighted to be welcoming representatives of the DfE to share the consultation  with CoramBAAF members and the wider social work sector.
