Getting started in: Kinship

As the UK’s leading membership organisation for professionals working across adoption, fostering and kinship care we want to equip professionals like you with the knowledge, best practices, and resources needed to improve the lives of children and young people. This is why we are launching a breakfast webinar series to help you “get started in adoption, fostering and kinship care.

In this session, we will be exploring the role of kinship care in permanence with our Kinship Consultants Clare Seth, and Ann Horne. This six part series is tailored specifically to recently qualified social workers, students and those wanting to find out more about adoption, fostering and kinship care.

Each webinar is a gateway to essential insights:

  • Explore fostering, adoption, and kinship care –with a focus on core issues in relation to practice.
  • Navigate the legal framework surrounding permanence, including early permanence, with confidence.
  • Gain insight into the crucial role of health in adoption, fostering and kinship care.

PRESENTERS

Ann Horne and Clare Seth are CoramBAAF’s Kinship Consultants. They have both worked in local authorities as social workers and managers, with experience in kinship care, fostering and adoption between them. They co-facilitate CoramBAAF’s Private Fostering Practice Forums.
