Fostering Panel Chair
Fostering Panel Chair Action for Children fostering services offer therapeutic fostering homes to children and young people who have experienced disrupted attachments and Trauma. The services operate to our Homes Framework and supported by our psychological service partners we use PACE principles, DDP and therapeutic thinking to offer safe and stable homes to our children and young people. As a professional and engaged Chair of meetings the postholder will facilitate a diverse and committed Fostering panel. Keeping the experience of the Child at the Centre of your discussions you will lead the independent scrutiny of fostering assessments and reviews. The postholder will contribute to the Fostering Service safely recruiting Foster Carers that will be able to provide Safe and Stable Homes. As Foster Care Fortnight draws to a close, we want to thank foster carers for the enormous role they have in providing stable, loving homes for children across the country. In this blog, we recap some of the resources and activities shared during over the last two weeks.

Fostering Team Manager
Fostering Team Manager A great opportunity is available for the role of a Team Manager in a small, not for profit fostering agency. New Routes is a longstanding small fostering service based in Coleshill, Warwickshire with good road links to Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Nuneaton, Bedworth and Tamworth. The postholder will have an input in the recruitment of foster carers, including developing the recruitment in new geographical areas and overseeing and organising recruitment events. This role also includes overseeing digital recruitment and marketing. The postholder will liaise with Ofsted and assist with inspections/data requirements etc. The postholder will monitor activities including Schedule 6s and 7s as well as statutory checks, file audits and unannounced home visit rota. The postholder will oversee the day to day management of staffing, budgets, resources, materials and services related to fostering in conjunction with the Registered Manager. Senior Practice Consultant
Senior Practice Consultant The Fostering Network is the UK’s leading fostering charity and membership organisation, dedicated to empowering, enriching and supporting the relationships at the heart of the fostering community. We are on the lookout for an experienced social worker to be part of leading our Practice function in a job share arrangement with an existing Senior Practice Consultant. The postholder will be a proactive, effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills, who doesn’t mind getting into operational detail and is comfortable working closely with their job share partner. The postholder will be an experienced fostering practitioner and bring sound knowledge of fostering legislation and guidance and a range of experiences across fostering practice.  The Fostering Network £25,578 - £28,623 (£42,630 – £47,705 FTE) + London Weighting if eligible Can be based in any of our four offices (London, Belfast, Cardiff, Glasgow) or from home.
