International child protection with Children and Families Across Borders
In this participatory session, we considered the challenges of managing child protection cases with an international element as well as collaborating with foreign authorities, and navigating cultural, legal, and practice challenges. Michael Nwoye, a social worker from Children and Families Across Borders (CFAB), shared his eight years’ experience managing inter-country child protection cases for CFAB on behalf of UK local authorities and foreign authorities, drawing on his experience of working in the UK and Nigeria.
