We’re looking to recruit a passionate and experienced social worker who wants to make a positive impact within fostering.

We follow a therapeutic fostering model and offer ongoing training and development to all our social workers, working therapeutically, on successful completion of the probation period, plus a progression scheme to advanced level.

This role would suit a caring and dedicated Social Worker, ready to join Tree House Care in doing the right thing for our children.
Essential requirements:
A minimum of 1 years post-qualifying experience working in a fostering service
A Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work
Good working knowledge of Child Protection procedures
Experience and working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance including; Children Act, Working Together, Every Child Matters, Care Standards Act, Fostering Regulations, and Care Planning
Responsibilities and tasks include:
To promote and safeguard children’s welfare within quality family placements.
To undertake the recruitment, approval, training and support functions related to foster carers.
To ensure that the carers provide a safe and nurturing environment for children/young people, by continually monitoring the carers’ suitability and competence
Base: Working from our head office in Grimsby, but you must be able to travel to our office in Doncaster for team/meetings, support groups etc on a regular basis.
