Advisor/Business Support for the Information and Advice Line The postholder will support the delivery of our Information and Advice Service within Coram IAC. The service provides guidance to prospective adopters, adoptees, local authority social workers, and other child care professionals. The postholder will be the first point of contact for many enquirers, handling daily enquiries via phone, email, and web forms. The postholder will also coordinate bookings for information sessions and interviews, manage case records, assist with course administration and invoicing, and ensure that our guidance materials remain accurate and up to date. Service Manager
Service Manager The Independent Review Mechanism for England (IRM) provides, on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education, review panels for potential and current foster carers and adopters when agencies have decided not to approve them as a foster carer or adopter, or to terminate or change the terms of their approval. The current contract will continue until March 2026. As the Service Manager for the IRM the postholder will have overall responsibility for the service including budget and finance responsibility and overall responsibility for the database. The Service Manager will be the primary contact between the DfE, Trustees, and the CEO and will also take the lead on providing the necessary reports and updates for these stakeholders as well as undertaking quarterly safeguarding reviews.

Social Work Assistant The postholder will assist with finances and the paying and tracking of invoices and other payments associated with the adoption team. The postholder will work as part of the wider Adoption administration team to support the smooth and efficient day to day running of the Adoption office (Hillingdon). The postholder will work alongside the adoption social workers assisting them with their roles of both family finding and post adoption support as needed. Post-adoption depression needs to be normalised, expected and proactively addressed

Dr. Lynn Snow, a paediatrician and Churchill Fellow, explores the often-overlooked issue of post-adoption depression (PAD) and its impact on adoptive families, drawing insights from her research in the U.S.and Europe to inform change in the UK. She is now championing a new pilot in Leicester to embed emotional wellbeing support for adoptive parents within the health visiting service, aiming to normalise and proactively address PAD at every stage of the adoption journey.

The postholder would become part of an experienced, professional, and friendly panel central list who are child-focused and passionate about their role in the safe placement of children and young people. As an Independent Fostering and Permanence Panel Chair, the postholder will have a detailed knowledge of the legal framework of fostering, including kinship fostering and childcare law, as well as an in-depth knowledge of current fostering practice. The postholder will be an excellent communicator, with an ability to chair and guide complex meetings.
