Fostering Panel Chair The Fostering Panel Chairperson is responsible for leading fostering panel meetings, ensuring that they are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with fostering regulations and national minimum standards. The Chairperson provides independent oversight, facilitates open discussion, and ensures that all panel members contribute effectively to the decision-making process.

They play a key role in safeguarding children and young people by ensuring that the panel makes clear, evidence-based recommendations on the approval, review, and continued suitability of foster carers. The Chairperson ensures that the welfare of children remains at the centre of all panel considerations, while maintaining impartiality, professionalism, and respect for all participants.

The post holder will ensure the ongoing delivery of an outstanding VAA that is fully compliant with national minimum standards and regulations; and ensuring high quality adoption support and a sufficient supply of adopters that reflects the diversity of the countries they are adopting from.
