National Adoption Week is taking place between 20 - 26 October. The annual campaign, held every October and hosted by You Can Adopt, aims to raise awareness about adoption, celebrate adoptive families, and encourage more people to consider adoption.

‘Adoption & Fostering’s’ international reputation and scope are showcased in the latest issue, out now. The October issue features articles exploring experiences of intercountry adoption and outlining work with children in care and their families in Nigeria, Greece and Italy as well as here in the UK. 

Social Worker
Social Worker We are looking for a Social Worker to become a vital part of our collaborative and innovative team based in either Milton Keynes or London. Our Social Worker/Senior Social Worker’s role is a pivotal one within our Adoption service. The postholder will undertake ‘home study’ assessments (PARs) and present these to the adoption panel and support families throughout the matching process and once children are placed, up until the Adoption Order. The postholder will participate in recruitment activities and training for prospective adopters.

Parents And Children Together (PACT) Social Worker - Salary in the range of £34,053 - £41,620 per annum. Senior Social Worker - Salary in the range of £39,292 - £48,022 per annum. If based from our London office, a location allowance of £3,299 per annum will be payable. Based in either our Milton Keynes or our London team, with hybrid working arrangements in place for both home and office working, and travel covering Milton Keynes, North London and surrounding areas. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Senior Adviser
Senior Adviser The Senior Adviser post is a new role to increase capacity within our small and friendly Advice and Information Team. The Senior Adviser will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based, advice and information by email and phone to CoramBAAF members. Our enquirers are primarily social workers at all levels including senior managers, along with associated professionals in health, legal and other areas of children’s social care. The role will also support our Outbound Permanence Service which provides specialist advice and resources for local authorities across the UK seeking to place a looked after child with relatives overseas, and also offers training and consultancy. The postholder will, once familiar, have the opportunity to participate in Outbound training delivery. This role is ideal for someone looking for an opportunity to influence practice, advise and support fellow professionals, consolidate their current knowledge, research, and continually learn. CoramBAAF £36,800 per annum (£46,000 FTE) Coram Campus, London WC1 (with flexibility for hybrid working) 28 hours per week
