As a professional and engaged Chair of meetings the postholder will facilitate a diverse and committed Fostering panel covering fostering services across the South of England. This panel hears items from two teams based in the South West along with one team in Hampshire and another in London. We hold roughly 16 panels per year. Fostering Medical Advisor The Fostering Medical Adviser provides independent, expert medical advice to the fostering service to support safe and informed decision-making about foster carers’ health. The postholder will support how the fostering agency makes decisions and ensures compliance with statutory requirements, fostering regulations, and best practice standards. The postholder will provide specialist medical advice to the fostering service in respect of prospective and approved foster carer’s ability to provide care to children.
