As a professional and engaged Chair of meetings the postholder will facilitate a diverse and committed Fostering panel covering fostering services across the South of England. This panel hears items from two teams based in the South West along with one team in Hampshire and another in London. We hold roughly 16 panels per year. Action for Children £450 per panel plus expenses Covering the South of England (Panels held via Teams) 1 - 2 panels per month

Fostering Panel Chair The Fostering Panel Chairperson is responsible for leading fostering panel meetings, ensuring that they are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with fostering regulations and national minimum standards. The Chairperson provides independent oversight, facilitates open discussion, and ensures that all panel members contribute effectively to the decision-making process.

They play a key role in safeguarding children and young people by ensuring that the panel makes clear, evidence-based recommendations on the approval, review, and continued suitability of foster carers. The Chairperson ensures that the welfare of children remains at the centre of all panel considerations, while maintaining impartiality, professionalism, and respect for all participants.

Head of Service The Head of Service post holder will take the lead responsibility (under Ofsted registration) as the Registered Manager of CoramIAC. The post holder will ensure the ongoing delivery of an outstanding VAA that is fully compliant with national minimum standards and regulations; and ensuring high quality adoption support and a sufficient supply of adopters that reflects the diversity of the countries they are adopting from. CoramIAC £60,000 - £65,000 per annum Coram Campus, Bloomsbury, London, with homeworking 35 hours per week
