Two Good Mums consists of birth mum Laura, and adoptive mum Peggy. In this Exploring Expertise session, they tell their unique story of post-adoption contact in a way that highlights the role played by social services at various critical points in their journey. The intention is to share their specific experience in order to encourage professionals to reflect on their own practice, and to explore how professional responses can promote, but could also or inadvertently stifle effective post-adoption contact.
