Practice Note 56. Paperless fostering and adoption panels

Over recent years, there has been a general move away from using and holding data on paper and towards a greater use of digital technology. Fostering services and adoption agencies are not exempt from this change, and increasingly panels are embracing a paperless approach. The feedback from panels that have moved in this direction is broadly positive, although it is acknowledged that the initial change can present challenges. This Practice Note looks at some of the issues involved in such a move.
