Early permanence is a child-centred approach that provides crucial early-stage stability while a court decides the final care plan for a child. The aim of early permanence is to prevent multiple moves of a child during the care planning process and thereby reduce the associated trauma of separation from and loss of attachment figures.

The postholder will have social work experience with children and families and will support birth relatives whose children have a plan for adoption or have been placed for adoption. Working closely with colleagues in Buckinghamshire Council who will refer the relatives to PACT, the postholder will provide support through individual sessions, support groups and drop-in sessions. Fostering Advisor An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fostering Advisor to join us on a part-time basis, 22.50 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of children and young people. The postholder will be an experienced social care practitioner with extensive and up to date knowledge of the fostering regulations.
