It is essential we prioritise children living with their extended family when they are unable to live safely with parents, even when their extended family may live overseas. This course is an opportunity to think about this often complex area of practice. It will provide an overview of the available research and data for children being placed abroad. There will be opportunity to discuss issues regarding viability and support plans for overseas families using  case studies and group discussion of anonymised cases.

Please note this session covers placements from England to areas outside the UK and British Islands.
