With a special focus on addressing the health and well-being needs of younger children, our conference guarantees valuable insights and discussions that you won't want to miss. Make sure to mark your calendars and secure your spot today!
Our conference is tailored for medical advisers working in adoption and fostering. It is also relevant for designated, named, and specialist doctors and nurses for children in care. Additionally, health professionals providing services and assessments to this group of children, including paediatricians, GPs, therapists, health visitors, and school nurses will benefit from attending.
Our morning sessions will:
- explore challenges in child health
- dive into the latest developments in genomics
- allow you to gain insights into fetal alcohol spectrum disorders research
- help you to learn about oral health and its significance
- delve into mental health and well-being
We are pleased to announce that, by popular request, the afternoon of workshops will be at the Foundling Museum. Next door to the QEII conference centre, there will be the opportunity to explore the history, exhibition and gallery during the afternoon break.
Our afternoon workshops will:
- engage in smaller group discussions for collaborative learning
- contribute to the consultation on Statutory Guidance for Promoting the Health and Wellbeing of Looked after Children (England)
- discover a UK-wide project focusing on core standards for initial health assessments
- participate in workshops addressing substance misuse in pregnancy and its impact on the child
The day will be an ideal opportunity to make valuable connections by networking with fellow attendees, speakers and the CoramBAAF team. Make valuable connections and expand your professional network.
Time is running out to secure your early bird ticket. Book your spot before Wednesday 17 April and be part of the conference. We look forward to seeing you there!
