Private Fostering Awareness Day: Lunch & Learn

BOOK NOW

This year’s lunchtime session for Private Fostering Awareness Day will focus on who private foster carers are and their experiences. We will hear from local authority practitioners and the voices of private foster carers and consider some of the common themes that arise in private fostering arrangements. The event will also preview the results of this year’s CoramBAAF private fostering survey and the accompanying report will be published on the same day.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

  • Who private foster carers are and what their day-to-day experiences can look like.
  • Some of the common themes that come up in private fostering and how practitioners can approach them.
  • How private fostering should be considered and included in the kinship local offer
  • What the latest CoramBAAF survey tells us about private fostering right now, and what it means for practice.
