Adoption support: learning from adoptive families' experiences - CoramBAAF conference

Event--London

DISCOUNTED RATES FOR CORAMBAAF MEMBERS
The government plans to fund new regional Centres for Excellence of Adoption Support. These Centres are expected to understand, listen and respond positively to what adopted children and/or their adoptive families say about the support they need, so that service-users’ voices help to shape the provision of future adoption support services. This conference will address questions raised by this, and shine a spotlight on Yorkshire and Humber’s Regional Adoption Agency’s (One Adoption’s) exemplary work to listen to what adoptive and birth families are saying about their needs.

Developing quality assurance in fostering & adoption assessments

Event--Leeds

Delivering a quality service requires a systematic and disciplined approach. Ongoing and periodic assessments require comprehensive monitoring processes and procedures. These in turn provide assurance that the processes in place are working effectively to measure outcomes for children and young people and meet legislative requirements. This workshop considers participants' roles and responsibilities in quality assurance and how the desired outcomes and requirements may be achieved.
