Ahead of National Adoption Week we sat down with our Adoption Consultant, Jane Poore, to learn a little more about her role, the importance of National Adoption Week and this year's theme of identity and relationships and what support is available.

The course demonstrates how objects can be used as an accessible tool to evoke, release and relieve emotions, how objects can become a safe home for these feelings, and how a focus on objects can free the imagination and promote creative practices and relationships.

National Adoption Week 2022 focuses on the theme of identity and the importance for adopted people to be able to understand and feel connected to their past – often through physical keepsakes. CoramBAAF's Hedwig Verhagen, co-produced the course ‘Objects and their stories’ which helps develop emotional literacy around such objects.
