As a service we are looking to expand into new geographical areas. The opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, committed and experienced team. The postholder will be required to provide effective and high-quality social work practice and undertake tasks related to recruitment, assessment, support, supervision and training of foster carers in accordance with legislation, guidance and good practice so as to appropriately meet the needs of children and young people and support them to reach their full potential. Changes to the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund

The Government have announced this week that there will be changes to the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund. Whilst the commitment to sustain the fund for 2025-26 announced earlier this month was welcome, it is disappointing to see that as more children are coming forward, their access is being further limited.

We are on the lookout for an experienced social worker to be part of leading our Practice function in a job share arrangement with an existing Senior Practice Consultant. The postholder will be a proactive, effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills, who doesn’t mind getting into operational detail and is comfortable working closely with their job share partner. The postholder will be an experienced fostering practitioner and bring sound knowledge of fostering legislation and guidance and a range of experiences across fostering practice.  The Fostering Network £25,578 - £28,623 (£42,630 – £47,705 FTE) + London Weighting if eligible Can be based in any of our four offices (London, Belfast, Cardiff, Glasgow) or from home.
