This role is one of three posts providing administrative support to our senior social worker practitioners in the Post Approval team. The Post Approval team manages the agency’s adoption cases once they have been approved at Panel. In this role, the postholder will manage key stages of the adoption process, handle enquiries, maintain records, liaise with local authorities, and provide vital administrative support for families seeking to adopt. The postholder will be an integral part of a small, dynamic team, helping to ensure smooth and efficient adoption placements. Fostering, Adoption & Permanence Panels Members We are looking to recruit independent Fostering, Adoption & Permanence Panel members with a variety of personal and professional experiences to join our central list of Panel Members and ensure we have sufficient members to enable Panel to carry out its regulatory functions. Our aim is for our Fostering, Adoption & Permanence Panels to be fully representative of the children, carers and families that we work with in Southend-on-Sea and of our local population and local communities. We are interested in recruiting people from a range of diverse backgrounds and experiences but particularly in candidates who are care-experienced, those from diverse and underrepresented communities and backgrounds and those with experience of being a foster carer or kinship carer and those from related professions such as Police, Education and Health. We are particularly interested in recruiting experienced qualified social workers interested in the work of fostering and adoption to our panel central list. Southend-on-Sea City Council £125-£250 Southend-on-Sea City Council, Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend SS2 6ER Minimum of 6 panels a year, Fostering Panel and Adoption Panel meet for one day a month in person respectively. Panel Members need to allocate sufficient reading time.
