This is an exciting opportunity to manage a small but vibrant team of senior practitioners and support staff, helping to deliver high quality intercountry adoption services while working alongside a dedicated leadership team. With supporting adopters as they prepare for their match or providing ongoing support after adoption orders are granted, the postholder will play a key role in shaping the future for these families. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about adoption, and motivated to support families to best meet the needs of the children they adopt. The postholder will have a strong background in social work specialising in adoption and some experience in managing staff and bring a deep commitment to providing exceptional care and support. It draws on their learnings from working with over 1,800 birth mothers over the past decade, as well as in-depth conversations with a group of four women who have children placed in kinship care.

We are on the lookout for an experienced social worker to lead our Practice function. The Head of Practice will provide leadership and oversight of the day to day operations of the Practice Team, including the key services of Advice and Mediation, Training and Practice Consultancy Services. The postholder will be a proactive, effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills, who doesn’t mind getting into operational detail. Family Finding Social Worker/Senior Practitioner
Family Finding Social Worker/Senior Practitioner We are seeking a dynamic Family Finding Social Worker or Senior Practitioner wishing to play an active role in the delivery and development of a high-quality family finding service for the London Borough of Hillingdon, for children with a plan for adoption. The post holder will be one of two professionals responsible for family finding for children with a care plan of adoption within the local area. The post holder will be part of a small and very supportive team to develop practise and skills in this area. The post holder will also be able to have access resources and services within Hillingdon to support this role and be part of a bigger network of support from colleagues from across the RAA. This role will function as 6 month fixed contract with the possibility of an extension to offer continuity to the children we are family finding for. Fostering Panel Chair
Fostering Panel Chair Action for Children fostering services offer therapeutic fostering homes to children and young people who have experienced disrupted attachments and Trauma. The services operate to our Homes Framework and supported by our psychological service partners we use PACE principles, DDP and therapeutic thinking to offer safe and stable homes to our children and young people. As a professional and engaged Chair of meetings the postholder will facilitate a diverse and committed Fostering panel. Keeping the experience of the Child at the Centre of your discussions you will lead the independent scrutiny of fostering assessments and reviews. The postholder will contribute to the Fostering Service safely recruiting Foster Carers that will be able to provide Safe and Stable Homes. Adoption Family Finding Social Worker
Adoption Family Finding Social Worker Adopt London East is looking for an experienced social worker to join the family finding team. Adopt London East is a Regional Adoption Agency made up of 4 Local Authorities; the host authority Havering, Barking and Dagenham, Newham and Tower Hamlets.   Adopt London East provide the following functions, recruitment, assessment and support of prospective and Adoptive parents, family finding for all children with a plan of adoption and adoption support provided to adoptive families, birth relatives and children and young people.  For this role, the postholder will need excellent communication skills and a comprehensive knowledge of attachment theory and the impact of developmental trauma on children. The postholder must have experience of working within a children's social work team and developed an understanding of the importance of considering a child’s individual holistic needs to support in care planning decisions.
