New guidance on support planning for Kinship families published

CoramBAAF are pleased to co-author a much needed and helpful guide for practitioners on support planning with kinship families. The guidance was informed by research co-produced by the University of Exeter, Kinship and a network of kinship carers who supported the project throughout. The guidance sets out the key principle that “a clear support plan is an important foundation for kinship care”.

The postholder will have experience and knowledge of adoption law and practice and able to liaise with partner agencies to deliver the service in North and West Yorkshire. As Foster Care Fortnight draws to a close, we want to thank foster carers for the enormous role they have in providing stable, loving homes for children across the country. In this blog, we recap some of the resources and activities shared during over the last two weeks.

Social Work Assistant
Social Work Assistant The Social Work Assistant will facilitate exchanges of information (letterbox and virtual communication) for the child between their birth family and their adopted family to enable the child to feel accepted within their new family whilst enabling him/her to feel comfortable in acknowledging their identity and giving them reassurances about their birth family. The postholder will assist with finances and the paying and tracking of invoices and other payments associated with the adoption team. The postholder will work as part of the wider Adoption administration team to support the smooth and efficient day to day running of the Adoption office (Hillingdon). Coram Adoption - Hillingdon £21,496.43 per annum (FTE £30,095.00) London Borough of Hillingdon, with flexibility for home working 25 Hours per week
