Private Fostering Awareness Day: Breakfast briefing

All local authorities have a responsibility to raise awareness of private fostering in their area. Exploring Expertise: Kinship Care Week - Early identification of prospective kinship carers

We are delighted to announce a panel of professionals from Tower Hamlets and Birmingham Children's Trust who will join our kinship consultants and outbound permanence advisor for a discussion on prospective kinship carers in the UK and abroad.

This research study explores and evaluates the growing area of adoption support of birth families where a child has been adopted. It is based on data collected from eight agencies providing independent support services to birth relatives, and from interviews with 73 birth relatives with recent experience of losing a child to adoption.

Planning for permanence

This open course course will enable participants to increase their understanding of the role of permanence in children's lives. By reflecting on best practice, it will help those attending to form permanence plans that are geared to improving the outcomes for children and young people, including their emotional, cognitive and physical development.
